Appointment 2: In-Clinic Pregnancy Planning Overview

In this in-clinic appointment, women and their partners engage in a detailed discussion tailored to their pregnancy planning/early pregnancy needs. Building upon the TeleHealth session, the in-person meeting delves into lifestyle choices, ovulation tracking, genetic counselling, and medical/pregnancy screenings options/recommendations. It offers a personalised approach to fertility optimisation/early pregnancy challenges specific to the individual woman’s needs. The appointment aims to finalise a personalised pregnancy plan, outlining timelines, goals, and necessary steps for conception/pregnancy screening tests. Couples leave equipped with comprehensive information, support, and resources for their upcoming/ongoing pregnancy journey.

Antenatal Appointments

Pregnancy appointments follow the Antenatal Schedule of Care offering 4 weekly appointments to review maternal and fetal wellbeing until 28 weeks gestation. In the third trimester appointments are fortnightly and in the last month of pregnancy, appointments are offered weekly.
Planning for Birth Appointment

The labour and birth planning session covers crucial aspects of childbirth preparation. It begins with an introduction to the session's objectives and a discussion on the latent and active stages of labour, the mechanism of normal labour, and coping strategies for any delay in progress during labour. Participants explore birthing options, pain management techniques, and explore ideas to create a personalised birth plans. Labour and delivery topics include understanding labour stages, recognising signs of progress, and the role of partners in providing support and reassurance. Medical interventions, including an Induction of Labour or Caesarean Section plan/recommendation will be reviewed.

Postnatal Appointments
